Holly Wreath Cookies
I love making Christmas Cookies, and ever since I was a little girl these were the ones I looked forward to making the most – they are so fun!
My favorite part of making these cookies is using my grandma’s vintage Mirro cookie press (although it wasn’t “vintage” to her, she bought it new back in the day :) )
Isn’t it awesome? I get excited every time I get the box out.
The recipe booklet is so fun (not to mention Good Housekeeping Guaranteed!).
I must say I do “enjoy many compliments on these clever cookies”. :)
Alright, ready to be your very own “fancy cooky artist”?
Make your batter.
Fill cookie press (or pastry bag)
Make small wreaths on an ungreased cookie sheet.
(Speaking of vintage, check out my cookie sheet. Yikes, the poor thing gets a lot of use!)
Decorate with green sprinkles and cinnamon candies.
Bake and enjoy!
My grandma always had us double the recipe, because we split them all up, so I’ll do the same here. These make great little gifts to hand out (or just eat them all yourself…like I did).
So glad I found this…..what design plate do you use on the cookie press to make the wreaths with the ridges?
We use the star tip one – thanks!
Definitely yum-inspiring cookies – a ‘must do’ for me!
First up: buy the cookie press…
And a question answered, please: what is the measurement of 3 oz. of cream cheese? Close to 2/3 of a cup?
I’ve always loved to bake but math? not so much!!
Appreciate your help with this recipe, Kelly ~
Thank you <];0)]]]]]
Oh boy math is not my strong suit either, but there are 8 oz in a cup but they actually sell cream cheese in little 3 oz bricks that you can use.
I love making cookies, and these look so yummy!!! I am going to have to find time this morning to bake – lol
I am linking over from “Alderberry Hill Tis the Season Link Party” hope to see you drop by too.
Hugs, antonella :-)
So simple and perfect. I am going to try to make time this week to make some of these!
How fun – and YUMMY!! I have a cookie press – I really need to take time to get it out and let the kids use it!
Kelly,
These are so pretty! And easy and fun (the perfect combination for me)! I think I’m going to make them…..I’ll let you know how they turn out!
Have a blessed and totally awesome day!
