Celebrating Everyday Life Magazine Contribution

It’s time to tear down those Halloween/Fall decorations and put on your Christmas thinking caps, and if you are like me you have been thinking about it for a month or two already (blogging hazard). If you are in need of some fabulous inspiration (who isn’t!) Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carrol’s new November/December issue just came out!

Isn’t the cover gorgeous? There are so many fun and inspiring ideas in this issue that I’m tempted to get the Christmas Tree out right now, but I won’t…I’ll wait one more week at least ;)

Speaking of my Christmas decor, you might recognize a certain living room in the pages of this issue…

I was so excited that Jennifer asked me to contribute this month!! If you are new around here this was our Christmas decor last year. I’m dreaming up all sorts of new ideas for this year and I definitely got excited looking through the magazine.

  1. Hi Kelly!
Love the sign over the mantel. Did you make that? I was trying to do something similar but struck out on my first attempt and took to the webs to find some examples/tips. If you did it yourself, did you hand letter it or did you use a stencil? So cute. Just love it!

    1. Hi Jenn! I did paint it myself, my biggest tip is to use chalk first. That way you can sketch it all out exactly how you want (it will wipe off with water) before you paint. Good luck!

    1. Hey Melissa, I have always loved design but I dropped out of art school. Sometimes I wish I had finished, but I knew in my heart I wanted to be a stay at home mom. Blogging is great for me cuz I get to do both!

  2. Kelly,
I really like the sign on your Christmas mantel and the neutral color palet. It’s so pretty and warm.
Can’t wait to see what you do this year. I also LOVE that hot chocolate station. I really want to try that. Congratulations on having your home featured in the magazine too. I’m not surprised. Your home is so pretty. Thanks for all the great ideas.

  3. Congratulations! Your room last year was beautiful. The cocoa bar is adorable!!! I’m gonna look for this magazine and check it out too. Have a blessed day!

  4. My mother-in-law always gets this magazine. I’ll have to check it out, they always have great ideas for every holiday. Congrats!
