So I totally cheated this year…
I tackled my window boxes like 2 weeks before Thanksgiving when it was a balmy 62 degrees. My neighbors probably thought I was nuts…but we will get to that…
Last year I waited too long and the dirt was frozen solid. I had to pour boiling water over the dirt in my window boxes to thaw it, so I could stick the branches and flowers in.
Yeah, picture me standing on the roof with a tea kettle in hand, and you get the idea! So now I’m not so crazy am I?
Well, save that thought…
Like my giant ornaments in the boxes?
What? Just another afternoon spray painting bouncy balls in the front yard :)
I added some branches from the woods and some faux poinsettias. These look really pretty when covered in snow, once the weather turns wintery, (if it ever turns wintery, it’s supposed to be 60 today, what?!) I’ll post some pics.
The upper window boxes got a little wind blown, we had a big storm complete with hail after I finished these up…and I just can’t talk myself back onto the roof :)
Stay tuned for the rest of my outdoor decor this week!
