Chalk Painted Lamp and a Giveaway
My paintbrush and I were busy again with this little lamp redo for my master bedroom. Shocking, I know, I painted a perfectly fine, brand new HomeGoods purchase…again.
Here’s the before – I loved the shape of the lamp and the texture of the shade, but the dark wood just wasn’t right for our light and airy master bedroom.
Luckily I had a quart of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg. I slapped a quick coat on, did a little distressing, and voila I had a brand new bright and beachy lamp.
It’s all part of my master plan for my master bedroom redo that I’ve been working on. You can see a corner of my Upholstered Headboard Project (see the full bed here) in the photo above. You can also sneak a peek at one of my very first blog projects,my DIY Nautical Rope Mirrors (check them out here) that will still be hanging around.
Stay tuned for more changes in the master bedroom coming soon!

Sorry I’m a little late…….but have a couple things in my house that I’d like to distress, but am really intimidated with the whole process. Is there anything on your site that covers this topic, maybe some instructions that may give me more confidence? Thanks so much for your help, you’re very talented!
