Chalk Painted Lamp and a Giveaway

My paintbrush and I were busy again with this little lamp redo for my master bedroom. Shocking, I know, I painted a perfectly fine, brand new HomeGoods purchase…again.

Here’s the before – I loved the shape of the lamp and the texture of the shade, but the dark wood just wasn’t right for our light and airy master bedroom.

Luckily I had a quart of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg. I slapped a quick coat on, did a little distressing, and voila I had a brand new bright and beachy lamp.

Painted Lamp Makeover

It’s all part of my master plan for my master bedroom redo that I’ve been working on. You can see a corner of my Upholstered Headboard Project (see the full bed here) in the photo above. You can also sneak a peek at one of my very first blog projects,my DIY Nautical Rope Mirrors (check them out here) that will still be hanging around.
