Master Bedroom Flooring
I was MIA last week due to snow days (ugh) and sick kids, but we have finally dug ourselves out of all the snow just in time for 60 degree days (yay) this week! I’m back to show you the new flooring in our master bedroom and how it has changed the look in here so much.
I still can’t get over the difference of not having carpet up here! 1. it feels so much cleaner; 2. I had an excuse to buy a new rug; and 3. I get to slide around in my socks while singing in my hairbrush Risky Business style in the privacy of my own bedroom… the benefits are endless I tell you!
Speaking of the new rug, I snagged this one at Joss and Main and I love the subtle pattern in it.
Our bedroom is pretty tone on tone, which I think is soothing in here since most everywhere else in our home I use pops of color. The rug looks a bit wrinkly in these photos because I had just unrolled it, but now that it has a rug pad under it and it has had a few weeks to relax, it is great. I love the texture it brings to the room while still keeping in the neutral color scheme.
Oh and if you have missed a few posts, I’ll remind you again that the flooring in here was provided by BuildDirect and is the Lamton White Dogwood laminate. You can read more info about it here and here.
We are still loving it. I’m loving the sunshine in here even more though – let’s hope we have seen the last of the snow. I can’t wait to sit out here on the deck again, c’mon spring!

I LOVE your rug! Well I love your whole space but that rug is amazing. I just looked all over Joss & Main for it but came up empty. Do you know if they still are carrying it and I just missed it? Or is it all gone? Thanks!
Looks fantastic! Your room looks like a beautiful cozy retreat!
Thanks Jamie, it is definitely a retreat after a long day :)
What a spectacular view! A soothing bedroom at the end of a hectic day. The flooring you is beautiful and is a nice contrast with the neutrals.

Thanks Kathleen, we do love it here, especially after losing an hour of sleep last night! Ready to snooze for sure :)
Beautiful.
looks great kelly! your windows/door to the outside is just fabulous!!
Thanks Lisa, the view is definitely my favorite part!
Love your new look in the master bedroom. I do have one comment, please secure the rug under your bed, it looks very easy to slip on.
Hi Eavan it has a rug pad under it now so no worries, the pad just wasn’t delivered yet when I took the photos – thanks!
Looks awesome Kel! I am ready to rip up the last remaining carpet in our house. I love this look! Great job❤️
It’s beautiful and I love those windows in your bedroom, really lovely.
Thanks so much Becky!
What a beautiful space! I’m swooning over that armoire! Where did you find it? Did you give it a makeover?
Hi Blake this is a solid orangey oak hand me down from the 80’s :) it’s been painted about 100 times now!
Oh….can I just come and sit on your deck with you…I won’t bother you really…I’ll be very quiet…..it looks so peaceful.
Come on over, bring the wine! ;)
Oh how I wish we would have done the same thing when we replaced the carpet in the bedroom section of the house. Unfortunately hubby didn’t want to do it :-( Now if we ever replace the carpet in the living room, it will be laminate!! I will put my size 8 foot down. I think this will be the “hill”. Just a dust mop and you’re done!! The bedroom looks fantastic and I’m so happy that spring will be here soon.
Thanks Marisa, yes the clean up is a breeze now!
Looks amazing, Kelly! I’ve been dreaming about cracking up all my tile and putting down wood flooring. We have it in my husband den. Help me on an excuse to do this?
hmmm, you should do what I do and just wait until your husband is out of town and then just start without him, so there’s no going back ha ha!
