Favorite Things – Friday Feels

Welcome to another Friday Feels where I share what I’m “feeling” this week. This post contains affiliate links.

Hey guys, I hope you all had a fun Halloween! Oct 31st always marks the beginning of the Christmas season for me (and most bloggers), so we can get Christmas ideas out to you all before normal people are ready to decorate. This time of the year is by far the busiest, so I thought I would share a few things that have been saving me lately!

First up is this alarm clock! I am not a morning person naturally, but waking up here in Michigan in the winter is rough because it’s pitch black out. While I do appreciate the zero dark thirty bus stop top because I can wear my bathrobe to the bus stop and no one needs to know. ;) It can be hard to get out of my cozy bed at 6 AM. This daylight clock makes waking up a little easier. You set it for your normal wake up time, and 30 minutes before you wake up, it starts to glow then increases gradually in intensity. It’s supposed to mimic sunlight and wake your body up more naturally. It really has made it easier to wake up and is so much less jarring than a blaring alarm in a dark room. I’m thinking about getting them for my kids too! You can find it here.

I mentioned the fact that I put collagen in my coffee every morning a few weeks ago, and I had a ton of messages asking me about it. I’m no expert, but I’ve been using a scoop of this in my coffee every morning. It is supposed to help with your skin and nails. I have noticed my nails are stronger and chipping less, but it’s also supposed to help with your joints. I’ve been having issues with my knees for the past 2 years now when working out, and I really do feel like this has made a difference in my knee pain. It’s just a clear powder that is tasteless (to me anyway) that dissolves in your coffee. I think you can put it in smoothies or juice too. I buy this one here.

Ok, this next thing isn’t really saving me, but I finally tried one of those Third Love bras that you hear all the ads for and it really is worth the hype I have to say. You take a little quiz on their site that helps you determine the best fit and size for your body and they have a wider range of sizes than most brands. It suggested a completely different size for me than I have ever worn, but I thought it was worth trying. Surprisingly it fit great! I will take an online quiz every time over standing awkwardly in a dressing room with a stranger measuring all my nooks and crannies. I got their t-shirt bra and it is so comfortable and seamless under whatever I’m wearing. They are on the pricier side, but the comfort and fit is so much better than anything else I’ve ever put on. Click here if you want to try one out for yourself. They have free shipping and returns and make it really easy to try out different sizes if need be. Like I said, I was shocked that the size I have been wearing forever was totally wrong!

Shark cordless vacuum

Ok and last, Shark sent me their newest cordless vacuum to try out and I’m obsessed with it. I’ve never had a cordless vacuum before (apparently I’ve been living under a rock) and I can’t believe how much easier it has made my life. It has a setting for carpet and wood floors that switches with a push of the button making it perfect for all the wood floors and rugs in our house. It also pulls out to become a handheld vacuum, which has made cleaning up messes and vacuuming the stairs so easy.

Even Charlie is impressed (and still wearing his beloved sweater). I love how light weight it is because it’s really easy for my 7 year old to use too, and it’s actually become his favorite chore! Let’s just say, I know from personal experience that it can vacuum up 1/2 a box of rice krispies out of a car with ease ;) You can check it out here.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, I’ll be back next week with some fun Christmas content coming your way!

  1. So glad for the review on the bra! I’ve looked at those and done the survey, but of course wasn’t sure if it was worth it. Yay! (And didn’t want to deal with returns from Canada). Thanks!

  2. I seem to lose so much hair in the shower that my husband (retired law enforcement) says that if our master bath was a crime scene he’d be looking for a bald person. :-( So thanks very much for your review of the Super Collagen. I found it online at my local Vitamin Shoppe (Yay!) for a slightly better price than Amazon. Already ordered it to pick up later today. I’ll be thrilled if it helps my creaky old arthritic joints and maybe it will help me hang on to more of my hair. :-)

  3. Kelly …I have an unusual question…is there a lot of vibration in your hand when you use your Shark vacuum?

  4. Love the alarm clock Kelly! I also like the drawer pulls on the nightstand. I just painted the nightstand and have yet to find pulls I like.
Are the drawer pulls from online ?

  5. I love the idea of that alarm clock and am going to check it out. Also have seen the ads for those bras but it’s good to hear first hand from someone you know that they are worth the price tag! Thank you for another Friday Feels with some great suggestions!!! I love these posts! Photos of cute kids and dog doesn’t hurt either!!! ❤️❤️
