Christmas Tour 2013 – Classic Red and White
“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…”
Ok, so I’ll spare you my singing voice, but I’m so excited my halls are finally all decked and ready to share with you! I’m stop #12 on the All Things Home Christmas tour – did you see all the beautiful ideas yesterday? Don’t worry I’ll include all the links at the bottom so you won’t miss a thing. Oh and did I mention there’s a giveaway?
PS I’m sharing over at
I’ll try to keep my normal rambling to a minimum and just share the tour; I’ll leave all the talk for later in the week when I share all the tutorials and details.
Come on in!
I kept it classic with red, silver and fresh evergreens on the outside this year.
This cute little reindeer greets you in the front entry along with my freshly planked walls.
My “snowball” garland dresses up the banister (read how to make your own here)
Over in the living room is my snowy tree. I was going for a snowball fight sort of feeling this year with a few splashes of red.
I know, red, in my crisp white loving house, but I was on strict orders this year (from my 5 year old little diva) that Christmas colors are most definitely red and green not white!
So red it is…at least in small doses…
My sweater embroidery hoop art was so fun to make (anyone can do it!.
I went a little crazy with old sweaters this year and made a sweater pillow to match my hoop art…and about a thousand sweater ornaments along the way as well.
Ok, and another DIY pillow – hi my name is Kelly and I’m a throw pillow addict.
My buffet got a little holiday cheer too.
Let’s dodge the snow balls and head back up stairs…
where I hung my Christmas sign, water skiing anyone?
Sneak a peek at my Christmas chalkboard.
More sweater ornaments, I told you I made just a few…
Another cute pillow (yeah, it’s a problem) adds some fun down by the kids rooms.
Last, but not least Christmas would not be complete without Silly our elf getting himself into trouble.
Well, that’s it – the grand tour! OH, except for Buddy, he was photo bombing me all day so I thought I would give him his wish and include him and his festive hat on the tour too :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Be sure to check out all the other amazing holiday ideas and decor from these lovely ladies…and I’ll be back later in the week with all the details of my Christmas tree and how you can make your very own army of snowball sweater ornaments.

Kelly – it is official, I love your home even more – every single each of it! The second official thing – I need sweater ornaments! Great job girlie! Take care, Laura
your home is darling, so many cute touches~
Thanks so much!
Beautiful as always, Kelly! LOVE all of your fun touches and I’m glad your little diva talked you in to red — the fun pops of color are perfect! Well done!
Sometimes the little diva knows what she is talking about, she’ll have her own blog someday ha!
Kelly – what can I say – gorgeous! Love every little detail! And, Buddy is absolutely adorable and fits in with the color theme too!
Lovely home and photos. Everything looks so fresh and bright. Love all the sweater items. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Cindy
Thanks for taking the tour Cindy!
This home tour is simply awesome. I’m a bit partial to red and white for the holidays. (I can appreciate other colors and sometimes use them, but I usually return to red. The flocked tree is stunning. And all those pillows have me wanting to stay up all night making reindeer pillows. Is that normal?
Your home and all the little touches you added are simply magical!!! Fantastic job KellY! I’m a new fan!
great tour! I think Buddy is the best decoration! I love the hoop art and all those snowballs – great ideas!
I always love seeing your home, Kelly! Love your Christmas decor and I want to try that embroidery hoop art! Buddy is adorable!!
Beautiful Kelly…will share & pin!

Thanks so much Kim! So glad to have you following along ;)
Gorgeous as always, my dear! I love everything! I’m not doing any red this Christmas and I’m starting to miss it! PS – I can totally see you standing on the chair in the reflection of the ornament! ;)
ha ha at least I wasn’t in my pj’s :)
perfection…once again these look like magazine shots…wow
Oh thanks so much Christine!!
Fabulous – love the snowball garland and that embroidered sweater hoop! Even someone seriously sewing challenged may just be able to do that! Silly the elf needs to head to Jersey for the night for a hot date with our elf, Hot Tamale.
Kelly
Seriously sewing challenged perfectly describes me ha, I’m sure Silly and Hot Tamale would paint the town red together!
It looks lovely! I have just begun!
