25+ Simple Spring Porch Decor Ideas

spring porch decor ideas

Is anyone else counting down the days until spring? I’m so ready for the change in the season and I’m really looking forward to freshening up my porch once the weather warms up.

There’s really nothing better than sitting outside on a sunny spring day after making it through a long and snowy winter. The porch is really just an extended part of your home, so you might as well put a little extra love into making it more inviting. Plus, it’s one of the first things guests see when they arrive, so have some fun with it!

Simple touches like layering doormats, adding potted flowers, and sprinkling in pastel blue accents can change the entire look of your front porch.

Here, I’m sharing a handful of spring porch decor ideas as well as tips for putting it all together.

Spring Porch Decor Ideas

1. Spruce up your pots.

Nothing says “spring” quite like some freshly potted flowers. Be selective when choosing planters and pots—they’re worth investing in since you’ll have them for years to come. I personally like to stick with neutral pots since I usually plant bright and cheery flowers (hydrangeas are my favorite.)

Also, using a variety of planter sizes can add more dimension and visual interest to your porch, so don’t be afraid to mix and match.

2. Add a wreath to your front door.

If you’re looking for a quick way to add some festivity to your porch, a wreath would be my first suggestion. It’s so much fun to collect them for different seasons and holidays so you can put them on display throughout the year. Bonus: All of the picks below would work for the summer too.

3. Upgrade your doormat.

If you live somewhere that typically sees harsh winters, it’s likely that your doormat looks a bit disheveled from the elements. For this reason, spring is the perfect time to upgrade your doormat (just be sure to wait until the last snowstorm has passed!)

Tip: Try layering a striped rug underneath a woven rug to add more character and to make things look more styled.

4. Swap out your throw pillows.

If you’ve been reading the blog for a while now then you most likely know that I love to swap out my throw pillows from season to season. It’s such an easy way to elevate a space and bring in a completely new feel. Plus, there are so many options that are affordable.

While many people are in a routine of doing this inside of their houses, they often forget about outdoor pillows. I love that all of the finds below offer a fresh spring feel yet would also work year-round.
