Happy Valentines Day! I was hoping to share a bit of our fun anniversary trip to Detroit a few weeks back, but my computer is not cooperating with me. I can’t seem to get the photos to upload. I’ll figure it out, but in the meantime I thought I would share a cocktail recipe inspired by one of my favorite cocktails I sampled that weekend. This Grapefruit Rose Elderflower Martini is so good!
The cocktail I had was a delicious vodka and elderflower liquor concoction topped with champagne. Three of my favorite things in one drink I had to try it! It was soo good. I wanted to recreate it when I got home, but the only vodka I had in the house was this Kettle One Botanical vodka.
My mom introduced me to it when we were visiting in Florida. The grapefruit and rose flavor is so refreshing! It makes an awesome Salty Dog, or it’s great with just club soda and a lime. I thought the flavors might work well with the elderflower and champagne and I was so right! Yum, the Mr. kept stealing this one out of my hand even though he proclaimed it a “girly drink.” It does have a touch of sweetness to it, which makes it perfect for a fun girls night or a cute cocktail for valentines day. It would make a great signature drink for a bridal shower too!
