Christmas Buffet

Hey everyone! The presents are wrapped (and re-wrapped, my little man helped himself to unwrapping a few), the cookies are baked, and the stockings hung. I’m officially ready for Christmas.

I’m going to unplug next week and spend the time snuggling with my kiddos and holiday party hopping with the hubby. Before I go I thought I would share one last 5 minute Christmas project with you.

So here is what my HalloweenThanksgiving wreath is up to these days.

easy christmas wreath

This was a 5 minute project that I did while the kids were eating lunch. I’ve actually had a few mom’s ask me how I find the time to decorate, well here’s the perfect example: I actually had 1/2 a peanut butter and jelly sandwich jammed in my mouth while doing this.

I have found while the kids are eating it’s the perfect time to run a load of laundry, do a coat of spray paint, unload the dishwasher, or  in this case make a wreath. Does this mean I eat while racing around the house? Yes, bonus I’m burning calories while I eat :)

Crafting, eating, and exercising all in one – boy can I multitask.

I took all the Thanksgiving decor off and just added this leftover ribbon from my Christmas Tree, I didn’t even tie it in a nice bow (hey I was eating lunch remember?) but since I’m going with the whole rustic natural look I figure that’s ok.

Cottage and Buffet

I stuck some more branches in a vase, and added some of the pictures from my Fall Mantel to my buffet in the dining area.

A few ornaments and pine cones and I have a simple easy Christmas display (and lunch to boot!)

I want to say a big thank you to all of you who have been following along and reading my blog. I’m having so much fun and I appreciate each and every one of you and all your wonderful comments. Excited to share more in 2013!

PS  I might pop back in for a quick minute next week – I have a New Years chalkboard idea bumping around in my brain right now :)

  1. Hello Kelly
    I like your blog.
I have a question about the picture of the church.
Where is that church? It looks very much like the church where I have been baptized. But…. that is here… in Holland.
    I am surprised
    Greetings

  4. Hi Kelly,

Your decor is lovely .. so simple and elegant. I had to chuckle when you said your little one opened a few gifts and you are re-wrapping:) Those are the things that happen, right?

  5. Decorating with your mouth full! Love that! Though not a mom, I believe if you want to make a pretty home for yourself and you make it a priority, you can do it! And this is a perfect example! And you even make time to blog about it! You are a momma inspiration to me! :)

And your buffet looks pretty cute as well!
