Friday Feels – Fall Fashion Basics

We survived the first week of school with only a few minor hiccups. It actually feels pretty good to get back into a routine, even though I wish summer would stay forever. Alas, it will start to cool down here in Michigan soon, so I picked up a few new fall fashion basics.

I’m very into simple classic pieces right now that can be dressed up with cute shoes and accessories. Cozy affordable cashmere sweaters, perfect soft tees for layering, with some new jeans and sneakers thrown in the mix!

You’ll notice a few pieces from Quince which has become a recent favorite for affordable yet nice quality pieces. This maxi dress has been a staple for me all summer with one of their cashmere sweaters thrown over my shoulders. It will transition perfectly to fall with a jacket and sneakers. I’m a little obsessed with their cashmere sweaters, I originally bought the gray one and immediately added the camel and black color to my cart after I wearing it all summer long.

I’ve been on the hunt for a good wide leg jean that doesn’t look like it belongs to my teenage daughter and this pair from Evereve is perfection. They are a little more fitted than others I’ve tried while still having that relaxed look.

These tees are SO SO soft, like I cannot emphasize enough the level of comfiness. They are double lined and look great with a pair of jeans and fun jewelry, but will also be perfect to layer under sweaters or blazers too. Again these were a multiple color purchase situation for me!

I picked up these sneakers for our upcoming trip to Italy (you can follow along on instagram, but of course I’ll recap our trip in a blog post as well). These are really comfortable to walk in and the gold detail feels a little dressier than your average sneaker. I also snagged these cute ballet flats, and this comfy yet elevated pair of sandals.

My current camel coat is starting to look a little worn (I also possibly went through the car wash with half of it hanging out the drivers side door – oops!). I picked up this one on sale this summer and I cannot wait to wear it.

Mango always has the best sweater selection. I have this same sweater in navy and I’m loving the new green version. This classic v neck sweater is currently en route to me. I also picked up this tweed blazer that I love, but it’s sold out in most sizes now. I’ve found a couple similar options too.

Happy Weekend!
