Friday Feels – a Fave Store, and Spring Bags
Hey guys! Welcome to another Friday Feels where I share what I’m “feeling” this week. This post contains affiliate links.
This week I’m feeling the cutest new store in Kalamazoo! I was having lunch with the Mr. a few weeks back (a rare occasion where he had an extra 20 minutes to hang with me, except he was on the phone for 15 minutes of those 20 minutes, but I got to stare at his cute face at least) and I stopped in this fun store afterwards called Curate & Co.
It’s a modern gift store that is stocked with the most unique gifts for basically everyone in your life. I snagged some really adorable books for my niece’s birthday.
I ended up connecting with the founder Christina Oropreza and chatted with her a bit about the Chicago based business she launched with her husband Marco. Their business started as custom curated gift boxes and they recently opened their first brick and mortar location in Kalamazoo (Christina’s hometown).
Don’t worry if you aren’t local, they have an awesome online store featuring all their handpicked items and unique products, which you can find here. It’s a great place to discover products made by local artists and makers. They carry awesome beauty products, home decor, baby clothes and accessories. This is the perfect store to stop in to pick up something for Mother’s Day (hint, hint Mr.).
I might need another baby just for an excuse to buy those sweet bear shoes ;) kidding, but oh my heart they are cute!
Besides offering so many unique products, they also want to mark themselves as a creative hub here in Kalamazoo, so they offer tons of interactive, creative workshops throughout the year. This is a fun idea for a girls’ night – a chance to connect with friends and learn a new skill. Their upcoming workshops are:
- Spring Paper Flower Workshop: Tuesday, May 1st at 6 pm
- Weddings & Summer Parties Hairstyling Workshop: Monday, May 7th at 6 pm
You can visit their site for more info and to register.
I’m hoping to make it to one of the workshops myself soon! Christina was nice enough to share these fun spring bags with me that just came into the store. Straw bags are everywhere right now, and I now know why. I have been wearing these bags with everything. They are perfect to carry you from spring into summer.
I styled the Classic Patterned Round Bag with this fun midi eyelet dress, but I feel like it’s perfect with any outfit.

I’ve worn it with this beachy dress I featured the other week, which is adorable and quickly becoming a fave!

I love this Medium Aiko Bamboo Clutch paired with anything from denim shorts to sundresses. I snagged this striped shirt last week and it is so soft and comfortable!

It looks adorable with gingham too!

You can shop their complete hand bag collection here, and bonus, Curate & Co is offering you free shipping + 10% off all orders with code KELLY10 at checkout. This sale only runs through Sunday at midnight CST April 22.
Locals, this applies in store as well – just mention my blog for 10% off all purchases Friday and Saturday. The store is located at 116 W South St. Kalamazoo.
Being a small business myself, I love supporting other small businesses and being able to share them with all of you! Be sure to stop by Curate & Co and tell them I sent you!
Beautiful fashion choices and great photos!!
Thank you!
Love all your outfit choices, and ordered the round bag. So cute! Great post, and the photos are gorgeous!!
That bag is SO fun!
I seriously had a bag exactly like this when I was in my 20s – so 30-35 years ago! At that time I probably would have purchased it at Pier 1 for pretty cheap (as I was a poor 20-something!). It is so cute and now I wish I still had it!
Oh that’s so fun!
You look gorgeous! Love how you styled them :) Thank you for all your support and creativity, your pictures are absolutely stunning. We’re over the moon!
Thanks Christina, love your store! This was such a fun collaboration, can’t wait to shop there again soon.
I think I need those adorable shoes for my two tiny little granddaughters. Oh, and the pink sofa for me. :-)
Oh my gosh aren’t they darling?!
OBSESSED with this, you and Curate!! I wish I got that bag in time for my vacay!! You are a supermodel! Xox
Hahaha, yes this bag is perfect for vacation! Hope you are having a blast!
I just ordered one of their cute round bags! Thanks for being my personal shopper. Cheers!
I love the round bag and everything about this post. I’m getting two-one for me and one for a gift. Curate is the best resource for gifts! I’m so glad you and Christina connected. You are both wildly talented, creative and beautiful!
Thank you Sarah you are always so supportive and encouraging! I agree Curate is such a great store, I love all their unique finds!
Details on the rug on your front porch please and thank you ?
I think it’s just a HomeGoods find? I’ve had it forever!
