Fall Skirts – Friday Feels
Welcome to another Friday Feels where I share what I’m “feeling” this week. This post contains affiliate links.
The Mr. has been gone a lot for work lately, so this week I’m feeling excited for date night! My in-laws are taking our kids for the night tonight. I’m so thankful for a little break from my sweet kiddos and to have some one-on-one time with my best friend. It’s great timing, because I just had a box of cute fall skirts arrive that are perfect for date night. Side note – I tend to online shop when the Mr. is gone, because my kids always sleep with me. Their 8:00 bedtime lends itself to shopping on my phone in the dark while they snore sweetly next to me.
I’ve been on the hunt for a suede skirt for fall and this one is so cute. It’s a little on the pricier side for what I normally spend on a skirt, but the quality is really great and I know I will wear it a lot. It comes in a few different colors too.
skirt / turtleneck / bag / boots
It looks great with a simple black turtleneck and the zipper details are so fun.
I’ve had this jacket forever, so it’s no longer available, but here is a similar one.
Throw on a leather jacket for when it’s cooler, pretend I added tights like I planned on if I actually had a pair of tights that didn’t have a hole in them…
It’s a little more dressed up with this pretty turtleneck blouse. The sleeve detail on this top is so pretty. It is a bit sheer, so I wear a nude camisole underneath. You could totally add tights and tall boots with a cozy sweater as well.

I also snagged this olive corduroy skirt, which is at a better price point, but still gives the same fall vibes. I love it dressed up with that same easy black turtleneck.
Oh and the bag was another great Nordstrom find. It’s only $55, but it feels and looks a lot more expensive.

It’s perfect for a more casual look with a cozy sweater and those $35 Target booties I shared the other week.
I hope you all have fun plans this weekend, I can’t wait to head downtown for a dinner other than the pb&j and carrot stick scraps I’ve been eating all week :)
Cute outfits! Can you link to the black turtleneck? I’m on the hunt for one too and when I click it is taking me to the skirt. Thanks
Sorry about that Katie it’s from H&M here is the link https://rstyle.me/n/c9vcu5b6kv7
You could be a model! Plus you are sweet and talented. Enjoy some much deserved time with your husband. ?
Oh gosh you are so sweet thank you! We had a great weekend :)
Your adorable! It sure looks like the 60s are back in swing. Please pardon me I’m 75 with many good fashion memories. I had outfits just like yours only with tall boots. Love seeing a great look return.?
Oh that’s so fun! Yes everything comes around again :)
I also have giraffe legs and, unfortunately, gorilla arms to match. Finding long enough pants – and sleeves for that matter – was always a challenge because I was always very thin. You have a gorgeous figure for those darling short skirts. Oh, and my favorites are the zipper suede, that romantic turtleneck blouse and the Chanel-ish bag. Love that bag!
Yes my arms are crazy long too! I’ve learned to embrace the 3/4 sleeve because nothing is every long enough :) Hope you had a great weekend Dori!
Have a well deserved break. You look adorable!!!!
Thanks Sandi, it was a nice break for sure!
Skirts look great on you!! Enjoy your date night! And I just might have to snag that purse myself!! ❤️❤️
It is really cute!
Oh, I remember those days of eating Kraft dinner and whiners or pb&j sandwiches while my mister was on the other side of the country , telling me about the great restaurant meals he was enjoying with real adults to talk to!……I will admit to being slightly grouchy about it sometimes!
I meant wieners…but there were probably a lot of whiners in the house too! ?
Ha exactly! I’m to the point where I tell him “don’t tell me what you ate for dinner” :)
Can you bend over in that first skirt ?
Ha! It’s actually not that short, I just have ridiculously long legs :) I’ve just learned to embrace my giraffe limbs over the years!
Cute outfits. I’m passing this post along to my college girls who sometimes need more business like attire. Happy weekend!
Thanks Linda! Yes that corduroy skirt or the white blouse would be perfect for work!
I love the first outfit with the jacket the best! Looks great on you! Enjoy your date night!
Me too thanks! That’s what I’m wearing tonight :) Have a great weekend!
