Friday Feels – Binge-worthy Shows

Hey guys! Welcome to another Friday Feels where I share what I’m “feeling” this week.

This week I’m feeling worn out! Since I’ve been spending so much time working on outside projects, I’ve basically fallen into bed every night unable to move my limbs. Which calls for recovery Netflix binge watching, wine and popcorn. Thankfully, a few weeks ago, I asked all you instagram followers for the binge-worthy shows on your must watch list and you guys delivered! I’m currently on the Crown (I know a million years behind every one else) and the kids and I got really into the Great British Bake Off when the Mr. was in Hong Kong last week and we are kind of obsessed. I thought if you were in the market for a new show I would share the list with you in case you don’t have an awesome instagram tribe of  people to poll like me ;)

I have to say I haven’t seen most of these shows, so I can’t attest to them, but these were the ones mentioned over and over again.

  • Stranger Things (I haven’t seen the 2nd season yet!)
  • Mind Hunter
  • Call the Midwives
  • Parenthood (loved this show)
  • Blacklist
  • Suits
  • The Good Doctor
  • The Magicians
  • Sherlock (one of my favorites!)
  • Grace and Frankie
  • The Man in the High Castle (the first season was so good, the 2nd is on my list!)
  • Poldark
  • Victoria
  • Peaky Blinders
  • Ozark
  • Big Little Lies (great book, I need to watch this next!)
  • Mozart in the Jungle
  • Handmaids Tale (I read the book and it’s very good.)

  1. My very favorite is Justified and after that Doc Martin…
We just finished Ozark and it was good, hoping there will be a second season…

  2. My all-time favorite tv series is Friday Night Lights. The writing is perfection and you don’t have to like football to enjoy it!

  3. If you have not yet seen Bates Motel, you don’t know what you’re missing!!!

  4. Several of my favorites have been mentioned already so I will just add one, Merlin. I have been surprised by how much I am enjoying this series. I am from Southeast Missouri and I couldn’t finish watching Ozark. Very disappointing.

  5. The man in the high castle is on my to do list! Of course, bachelor is starting soon so it might have to wait a bit. :) this room is so beautiful by the way!

    1. Oh man that is the one show I don’t get into, I don’t know why! Everyone seems to love it though :)

  6. Sneaky Pete is excellent! Loved Parenhood but moved to the lake and missed the last 3 seasons so Im carching up! Bosch is good too!
Hope you and your GF’s eat at Sand dollar and enjoy the view!

    1. Bosch is definitely on my list, I keep hearing good things! And I haven’t eaten at the Sand Dollar yet but we had a blast!

  7. This is Us (perfect for binging because there’s a cliffhanger a lot)
    Big Little Lies
    Handmaid’s Tale

  8. For uproarious laughter, “Nailed It !”, episode 2. Had to pause it several times for side kinks!

  9. If you liked Parenthood, you’ll love This Is Us! It’s a major tearjerker, though!

  10. Please add Netflix “queer eye” to the list. It made me cry every episode because it isn’t so beautiful and life-affirming.

I am also liking “love” on Netflix but maybe just because I’ve lived in Los Angeles.

    1. The Fall was one of our favourites, we couldn’t stop watching. And if you like Broadchurch (we loved it), you will enjoy Happy Valley. And Making a Murderer, if you haven’t seen it, is horrifyingly interesting.

  11. Godless is also one of my favourites, as well as Alias Grace based on the book written by Margaret Atwood. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or down I watch Schitt’s Creek written by Dan Levy ( son of Eugene Levy) always puts a smile on my face and lightens my mood. Not sure how many seasons are currently available on Netflix. Carol Burnett is currently watching this series and is also impressed . ?

  12. Definitely going to check out some if the suggestions on this list!
I would also highly recommend ‘Reign’ It’s enchanting i.e. the story of Mary Queen of Scots
I happened upon it looking to see what Meghan Fellows (Ann of Green Gables movies) had been recently. It’s historically accurate on timeline, etc…..

    1. How could you forget the “e” on Anne?! She was very adamant about that “e.” ;0)

      1. hahahahahahaaha!!! So true! My middle name is Ann, and when we had a daughter I wanted hers to be Ann as well! Of course I HAD to add an E to hers! We laugh about it quite often!! :)

  13. I LOVED Outlander and was actually sad when I reached the last episode.

If you’ve never seen Downton Abbey that’s a must.

Mr. Selfridge is another awesome show.

Homeland is my husband and my favorite show to watch together.

This Is Us is pretty amazing as well.

Brothers and Sisters is an old show, but sooo soooo good.

Parenthood is another one that I absolutely loved.

Thanks for posting this. I’m always looking for good shows to watch on the treadmill.

    1. I haven’t seen Downton Abbey, I can’t seem to talk the Mr. into it! Next time he goes on a business trip maybe!

  14. So many good suggestions on your list! Peaky Blinders and Grace and Frankie are two of my favorites! Currently watching The Americans on Amazon Prime and it’s awesome :)

  15. If you like WWIi stories and don’t mind subtitles The Time Inbetween is very good. It is worth it for the clothes alone.

  16. Thanks for sharing your list. Here are some others you might like to check out: Travelers, Imposters, Godless, Midsomer Murders, Death in Paradise, OA, Longmire.
