I have another delicious fall bourbon cocktail recipe for you today! Bourbon and fall just seem to go hand in hand. The Mr. wanted to make our favorite Lemon Maple Bourbon cocktail a few weeks ago, but alas we had no lemons. After a bit of experimenting he came up with this yummy Apple Cinnamon Bourbon Cocktail concoction instead. It’s a new fave for sure!
I meant to share this earlier in the fall, but we have been so busy with fall sports this year! We have one more week of freezing our booties off at soccer and cross country meets. I wouldn’t have it any other way, but I did tell my mom I should get some sort of daughter bonus points for only playing indoor sports growing up…
The sweetness of the maple syrup and cider mixed with the spiciness of the cinnamon and ginger is perfection in this Apple Cinnamon Bourbon Cocktail. I bet this would even be good hot? I’ll have to try it and report back. It would be the perfect way to warm up after a long day raking leaves.
How to make a Bourbon Cocktail
Apple Cinnamon Bourbon Cocktail
- 3 ounces bourbon 2 shots
- 4.5 ounces apple cider 3 shots
- 1.5 ounces maple syrup 1 shot
- 3 dashes cherry bitters
- 1 dash ground cinnamon
- 1 dash ground ginger
- 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar for sugar rim
- 1 slice apple for garnish
- Take a glass and rim with apple slice. Pour cinnamon sugar on a plate and dip glass edges in it.
- Add ice, bourbon, apple cider, maple syrup, bitters, cinnamon, and ginger. Stir.
- Garnish with apple slice. Enjoy!
You could also multiply this recipe and make a pitcher for a party. It would be pretty served in a glass beverage dispenser with apple slices floating in it. Great for a fall fest or even a Thanksgiving gathering.
I’ve rounded up some of our favorite bourbon cocktails from the past few years below. Any one of them would be perfect to enjoy this time of year. I think my personal fave may be the Amaretto Bourbon Cocktail. It’s so pretty and unique with the red wine float on top. It is a great cocktail recipe for entertaining. Happy Fall – cheers!
