Blue and White Christmas Bedroom Decor

Instead of a Friday Feels this week, I’m coming at you with a bonus Monday post! This time of year is so crazy, so I’m fitting in blog posts when I can. Today, I’m sharing a few updates in our master bedroom. Much like our living room, I like to keep the colors in our bedroom simple to really highlight the view outside. Now that it’s winter time and there’s nothing but white snow as far as the eye can see, I thought it would be fun to add some more color to our bedroom. Blue and white christmas bedroom decor

A bedroom with a large bed in a room

Well, I mean, I didn’t get too crazy… It’s still blue and white! :)  This pretty seersucker bedding really adds a lot of warmth in here.

Charlie has claimed this navy throw as his own personal hangout spot, and actually, I’m ok with that since the darker color hides any snowy paw prints.

A pillow sitting on a bed

I borrowed this pillow from the living room couch and it’s the perfect punch of happy blue in here. My flea market snow shoes were fun in here for photos…until my kids decided they would make good tennis rackets.

I swapped out my sailboat art for a simple wreath with a bow.

And filled the Mr.’s little change tray with ornaments (which scrooge the Mr. promptly booted out when he got home.)

I’m loving the deeper colors and the cozy feeling in here for winter. Charlie approves as usual.

  1. Beautiful as usual Kelly! I’m only disappointed that the nightstands were a flea market find so I can’t purchase them. It has inspired me a bit though, I could try distressing/painting the ones I have. I also have a wood headboard, although darker, and live the idea of mixing finishes.

  2. It looks gorgeous and I had a chuckle at the snow shoes/ tennis rackets and at “Mr.Scrooge’s” reaction…my hubby would do the same thing ;).

  3. Gorgeous as ever! Do you have a link to the lovely clock on “the Mr.s’ ” nightstand, behind the now-removed coin tray of ornaments? :-)

Have a great GIngerbread House weekend—ahhh, those were the days!

  4. Hi Kelly,
Love your blue small pillow on your bed. I was wondering did you paint you night stands and if you did what colour of paint did you use.
    Thanks
    Jony

  5. Very lovely bedroom with a gorgeous view! I had to laugh when I read “which the Mr. promptly booted out when he got home.” I can feel with you! I cannot move or add anything to his side of the room , it gets undone. Oh well!

  6. Love everything about it! That bed…… What type of shades do you have on the windows . I’m looking for an alternative to vertical blinds on sliding doors.

  7. I’ve always loved the dreamy texture of seersucker – classic, timeless, and perfect for your lovely lakeside home. The embroidery adds a really romantic touch. Your bedroom is stunning!

  8. Love the simplicity and beauty of your room. Your views are amazing! What kind of a dog is Charlie? He looks similar to my Schnoodle who, like Charlie, always claims the best throw in the house!

  9. Love it all! Can I say without sounding too Scrooge-y, that Serena and Lily, while beautiful, is out of the price point. I loved when you did Target and the like! Thanks for your gorgeous posts!

    1. Hi Terry, I’ve always mixed high end and low end brands in my decor. I’m big on saving in some places so I can splurge it other areas :) My inexpensive Target bench is still hanging out in here and this rug was on sale for $89!

  10. Love it! I’m a blue and white person myself. What size rug is that? Thinking of doing the same. Did you put any Christmas in the kiddos rooms? Have a great week.

    1. I think it’s an 8 x 10 and we have a queen size bed. My kids were not into decorating this year, I’m not sure if it’s because we were gone over Thanksgiving break? We normally put a tree in the basement that they decorate any way they want and neither one of them wanted to mess with it this year. We are doing Gingerbread houses this weekend though!
