White Washed Faux Wood Tile

I have gotten so many emails and messages about the bathroom flooring, begging me to please share pics ASAP because so many of you are remodeling, or building and love the look of this floor. So even though the house is still a mess, and we are 9 days away from moving in, I wanted to grab some photos for all of you who have been asking! I did a quick sweep and wipe down with a wet rag, so don’t mind if you see a few dust bunnies in the corners.

I was excited to partner with BuildDirect on flooring for our new home, and you can view all of my flooring choices in this post here. They provided me with product, but all opinions are my own. If you remember, this is the white Salerno Porcelain Tile Wilderness Series in White from BuildDirect, you can find it for sale here.

Here’s a close up so you can really see the detailing. I absolutely love this flooring, it looks exactly like old white washed wood flooring, but I don’t have to worry about water and moisture getting on it because it’s actually tile.

It adds so much character to our bathroom, and I love the way it feels under my feet too. It’s perfectly cottagey and coastal, but it would also be great if you were going for a farmhouse feel in your home.

I ordered a sample from BuildDirect, and love that the product looks even better in person, not to mention it was so easy to have it delivered right to my door. Plus it’s at a super affordable price point. I’m kind of obsessed with all of the flooring in this house, and I can’t wait to show you the rest of my BuildDirect choices. Although I think I’ll wait til the cleaning crew makes it through next week :)

  11. I love all of your choices. You need to contract yourself out for design work! I was just reading the reviews on this and one person commented that it has a texture like sandpaper which makes it difficult to clean. Did you notice this on yours?

    1. Hi Laura, when I wiped it down yesterday it didn’t seem hard to clean. It maybe depends on the area you put it? I don’t expect our master bathroom to get a ton of dirt etc so I think it should be fine for us. It doesn’t have a glossy smooth texture like a regular porcelain tile, but it’s not really rough either.

  12. Love the flooring. Quick question, do you have to grout since it’s tile? (Sorry if that’s a dumb question). Thx for sharing your journey. Can’t wait for the big reveal ;-)

  13. I love this so much! Did you heat the floor too, just curious. I can’t wait for the big reveal!
