Friday Feels – Fall Finds
Welcome to another Friday Feels where I share what I’m “feeling” this week. This post contains affiliate links. I may receive a small commission for purchases made through these links at no extra cost to you.
WOW! It’s been a while since I’ve had a moment to do a Friday feels! Today, I’m sharing a random mish mash of things :)
First up, I’m creeping into fall over here, and I found a few affordable cozy pillow options at Target (I was there to “grocery shop” and went home with these beauties, but what else is new). These will be making an appearance in a mini fall home tour I’m working on for next week. I’ll link a few faves below.
I’m also still out in my yard every week clipping all the free things growing. I’ve moved on from branches and hydrangeas to beach grass. It’s perfect for some free fall vibes.
Next up, there are a few blogger run small shops I’ve been loving. Chris loves Julia has the cutest clothing line – Propertee. I have the Homebody sweatshirt and hat. The sweatshirt is perfect for cozy fall weekends at home, and the hat is great for covering up “day-four-without-washing-it” hair.
I also love Jenny Komenda’s Juniper Print Shop I used the ferris wheel prints from her shop for my daughter’s room in the past, but I just printed off new art for my mantel to transition into fall as well – I’ll be sharing that next week! They are $20 for a download. It’s such an affordable way to get great art for your home.
I’m on the hunt for a few pieces for my daughter’s room makeover that I blogged about earlier this week. She really needs more storage in her room for all her books, glasses, etc… and I found these super cute nightstands from Wayfair. At $125-ish a piece, they are at a great pricepoint for a nice sized nightstand with a deep drawer. There are a few fun color options as well! My trusty UPS guy is supposed to drop them off next week, so I’ll keep you posted!
Ok next, and I’ve talked about these before, but I’m still obsessed with them – Rifle Paper Company Planners. Make fun of me all you want (the Mr. regularly does) with your spiffy electronic phone calendars and notifications. My brain needs good old fashioned pen and paper to remember stuff. I love making lists and seeing my schedule a few weeks out easily. You will have to pry my paper planner from my cold dead fingers before I make the switch to an e-calendar.
I’ve had one for each of the last four years, and it’s the perfect size to stick in your handbag and pretty enough to leave out on your desk or nightstand. I love all the little details inside, and they come with fun stickers for special events and reminders. Plus, the collection from past years look great on your bookshelves when you are done with them. They are on sale right now, and you can find yours here.
Also, I’m toying with adding a new monthly blog post answering any questions you all may have. A little “Ask Kelly” column. I get a lot of emails and messages with different questions, and I thought it may be fun to share some on the blog??? From design, blogging, organizing, daily-life, or just whatever you may be wondering. So, let me know if that’s something you would want to see, and if so – you can leave questions in the comments, dm me on instagram, or email me too!
OH! And a quick housekeeping item. Over the summer, I updated the shop our home page so now you can easily shop by room. I tried to include links to everything I could with notes about what I couldn’t link (flea market finds, or local items, etc.), so if you are looking for something check there! If you click a link and it doesn’t take you to the specific product page that means it’s currently out of stock or sold out, so check back.
Happy weekend!
Rifle Paper Keds are my absolute favorites!!
Yes those are SO cute!
I like the idea for an ask Kelly column. I am always wondering about day in the life stuff…snacks, books, family activities etc…love your blog !
Thanks Haley! I’ve gotten a lot of requests for a day in the life post so I think I will work on that for next week!
Kelly! Paper planners are a must for me too! I use the app COZY along with my planner and it keeps me feeling super organized.
Hooray!! “I’m so appreciative to be able to “ ASK KELLY” for your opinion on a table for my kitchen! It’s a big buy and want to make sure I get the one that will last years since I can’t just swap it out like a throw pillow! Haha!
Im collecting some pics to send today;)
Thank KELLY!
Oh I’m going to check that out thank you!
I must order the Homebody sweatshirt. It’s so ‘me’. I’m due for a new planner as well. And, YES, I’d love to see an ASK KELLY column. Great idea! :-)
Haha it’s such a cozy sweatshirt!
I just started using a paper planner again after being retired for 8 years. I still keep my appointments on my phone calendar but I plan around those in my paper planner. I am using the Happy Planner and it is fun decorating it, etc. I find without work demands I don’t get much done anymore. By putting my to dos in writing on a planner I’m more inclined to do them. With the Happy Planner I can move my to do lists from week to week if need be. I also put my meal plans in my planner as well as my budget, bills paid, and cleaning schedule. Lots of uses for a home planner.
My mom says the same thing now that she is retired she needs to make to-do lists too! Sounds like you are very organized :)
I love using paper and pen to keep my schedule. Won’t swith to eletronics anytime! And I would also really enjoy your idea of an “Ask Kelly” column. Please do so!
Thanks Catherine I’ll work on it!
Still reveling in our trip to Beloved in Cancun, all thanks to your post! Please keep sharing vaca destination recommendations, and my DH and I will keep going there :)
Oh my gosh this makes me so happy!! I’m glad you loved it! The Mr. and I want to go back SO bad!
I’m with you on having a paper planner! There’s just something about the format that functions better with my brain. I don’t carry a planner anymore but still need my wall calendar – the ultimate organization tool while raising my kids. My husband retired this summer and we started using a joint e-calendar. It’s working well for the 2 of us but a family e-calendar just never seemed to function well for us.
I’m sorry … I must be doing something wrong … every item on the shop page only suggests I pin the item. But doesn’t do anything. ?
I love your blog! I did end up with your same wood flooring and We absolutely love it!!
Hey Sue! You just need to click the image twice :) If you click it once it give you the option to pin, click it again and it takes you right to that product. Let me know if you still have issues and I’m so glad you love the flooring!
Kelly I’m with you. I need a paper planner. I too am a list maker and I find joy being able to cross things off my lists when I’m done with that task. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment.
Plus I love pretty planners, notebooks and notepads.
Thanks for introducing us to Rifle Paper
Yes! I have to cross stuff off on paper, it’s just not the same checking a box or something on the computer ha!
“Ask Kelly” page is a great idea! I love your planners but I must admit, I’m an e-calendar gal now. ??♀️ Have a great weekend!
Thanks Lisa! Have a great weekend!
Use the same planner and could not live without it!! Just may have to order one of those cozy sweatshirts too!
It’s the best! I love the options for 2020 too, so cute!
Happy Friday! :) I love the idea of an “Ask Kelly” column. Great idea!
Thanks Laura, I think it will be fun!
I always have to have a paper planner too! I’m always on the hunt for a new one and sometimes switch mid year. I’ll have to take a closer look at Rifle Paper Company’s planners.
Glad I’m not alone, I’m such a visual person that I need to see it right in front of me!
Same!
