Favorite Furniture Makeovers
Hey all, I have been crazy busy outside trying to get my green thumb on…I did say trying right? Hopefully I will be sharing all sorts of flowery back yard goodness soon (cross your fingers for me), but in the meantime I thought I would share a fun furniture makeover I just finished up for a neighbor. While I’m at it, I gathered up a little before and after roundup of some other furniture makeovers I’ve done, in case you are new around here.
My neighbor Nancy had the sweetest little chest of drawers, but she wanted it to match the cute cottagey feel of her guest bedroom.
As you can see I was so excited to get started (and as usual racing against the nap time clock) that I almost forgot to get the before shot, oops!
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint once again, Pure White for the chest and a mix of Napoleonic Blue and Pure White for the drawers. I just spray painted the existing hardware and TA-DA coastal cottagey goodness.
Before I share my little roundup I just wanted to mention that I’m so excited to be sharing my favorite room (can you guess which one?) over at Savvy Southern Style today. Kim’s blog is one of my favorites – she has an amazing house and a design style you will love. I’m thrilled to be guest posting there today.

One last thing to share and then it’s back to landscaping duty – my super talented friend Jennifer Rizzo is teaching an e-course on how to make your own beautiful Santos Cage Doll. It’s only $19 and she will take you step by step thru the process, to learn more about the class and see these unique dolls click here or you can register here!
Love the grey and white armoire and wondered if you painted it graphite before painting the grey and white on top to
get the dark to show through when sanded. I have painted grey over and already painted piece of furniture but when I
rub out the edges the old colour comes through and I don’t really like it. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Hey Rosie, yes it was black before, graphite would be great color to achieve this same look!
I love all your furniture transformations. I love the dresser. Can you believe I’ve never tried those two colors? Might have to dash out and buy some Pure White and Napoleonic Blue.
Beautiful makeover on your friends chest…luv the color combo!!
Blessings,
Linda
Thanks so much Linda!

The made-over blue and white chest definitely says “Coastal” in a great way. Of course, I am biased. I love blue and white.
