A Very Yorkie Christmas

This post has nothing to do with anything really, except I can’t stop laughing at these photos and just felt the need to share with you fellow dog lovers out there.  My mom and dad have these 2 yorkie pups, AKA their other babies (I’m pretty sure in the family hierarchy it goes, grand babies, puppies, actual children).  My mom got Murphy (Santa Claus) a few months after the Mr. and I moved away to Iowa when we were first married.  He was kind of my replacement, which I’m ok with since he’s totally cute.  These two are the most spoiled dogs on the face of the planet, they go everywhere with my parents, they even go to work with them (and make the rounds at lunch time hunting for leftovers).

Every year I help my mom take a funny photo of them for their annual Christmas card and we are always trying to top the last year.  This year may take the cake though, it’s basically the best thing ever…

Are you dying yet? This was the other option (we couldn’t pick a favorite so my mom went halfsies) Lily the Christmas carol singing (or yawning) reindeer…

I know Murphy looks soooo amused…if you actually know Murph and Lil then you will realize how ironic this photo is, since Lily is scared to death of going on a walk.  She could never pull anyone anywhere, in fact she rolls around town in a leopard print stroller. Yes a dog stroller, although little man climbs in there with her sometimes too.

Ok and one more, here is last years…

I know, little man was pretty shocked that Lily and Murph took his cozy coupe for a spin and managed to find the perfect yorkie sized Christmas tree!

Hopefully if you needed a laugh today, my nutty family made you smile :)

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

  4. Oh my Gosh, they are just too cute! My vote would have been for number 1. Murphy’s look is all too funny. I kind of think he is saying maybe” Here we go again…Take the darn photo already” and “Yeah, isn’t this all so amusing.”

  5. OMG!! This could not get any cuter! We also have two adorable little Yorkies – the baby only weighs three pounds! Both are adopted from a local rescue group. I could never get them to sit still enough to pose like this, so thank you for sharing your parents’ pups,
    Merry Christmas

  6. This is so cute. I have a Yorkie named Cricket and can’t see her sitting that long to take a picture or allowing me to put reindeer antlers on her head. She is a little brat, but we love her. Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy seeing and reading what you send.

  7. I’m laughing hysterically over here! Sooo adorable… I can’t stand it! :-) im gonna show
My 13 year old daughter these photos when she gets home from school. A Yorkie is one of
The types of dogs she wants once the two dogs we have pass away. She will love these
Photos!! Merry Christmas to your family too. Thx for the great laugh this morning! God bless

  8. Okay! Now I understand where you got your nutty oops I mean adorable personality. The little acorn doesn’t fall too far from the oak. Those are great pictures and I don’t know how you got them to pose. Did you sedate them??

    1. Ha ha, yes we are all a little crazy over here, they are just getting older and know that if they just sit still it will all be over soon :)

  9. Very cute, I like the yawning Yorkie photo. I might need to add “photo session with the pets” as a new holiday tradition.

  10. So adorable! We also take pics of our dogs dressed up in their Christmas attire! Sometimes we make the pics into Christmas cards for all to see! Merry Christmas to all of you, too!
