Citrus Mint Mojito Cocktail
While it’s not quite summer or even spring here in Michigan, I’m sharing one of my favorite refreshing summer cocktail recipes – a Citrus Mint Mojito.

The Mr. and I recently returned from a beach vacation in Mexico and a Mojito is my go to favorite afternoon cocktail on the beach. The mint and club soda are such a refreshing combo, add in a little rum and it’s the perfect cocktail.

I love to mix up different Mojito flavor variations, raspberry being a favorite! However, with it not being summer yet, that’s not a great option. Thankfully my grocery store is stocked with lots of great citrus this time of year. Hence this delicious Citrus Mint Mojito.

What is in a Mojito?
A mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients – white rum, sugar, lime juice, club soda and mint. It’s an easy drink to switch up the flavors by simply muddling in any fruit you like.

When we were in Mexico they used brown sugar in their Mojitos and I like that little extra flavor so I’ve used that in this Citrus Mint Mojito as well.

Nutrition
Typically you muddle a Mojito in a glass, which you can certainly do. We find it a bit easier/quicker to shake it up in a cocktail shaker instead. Just don’t strain it afterwards. Pour all of the ice, mint, and other ingredients right into your glass. Then you top with club soda.
We used club soda in our recipe, but you can also use any kind of sparkling water you like as well. I hope you enjoy this Citrus Mint Mojito and it gives you a little taste of summer! I’ll be dreaming of sipping one of these pool side if it ever stops snowing here! You can check out some of my other favorite cocktail recipes below –
