Spring Front Porch

The weather has been glorious this week in Michigan, so it’s the perfect time to tackle some spring cleaning. I’m thrilled to be partnering with Lowe’s on this project! They have so many great SpringFest deals going on right now. From leaf blowers, to outdoor furniture, plants, and everything in between – they have it all! I’m kicking off the cleaning with my spring front porch.

As you can see in this before shot, the front porch was looking pretty rough after a long winter.

First up, those dead leaves have got to go. I picked up this new Kobalt Leaf Blower featured in the Lowe’s Spring Fest sale. It’s light weight, and great for little projects like blowing off your porch or patio. It easily took care of all the dead debris stuck in my hydrangeas.

The rest of my plans include fresh mulch, new plants, and of course cute pillows and a rug!

Charlie inspected my supplies to make sure I had everything I needed, and then promptly took a nap in the sun while I did all the hard work.

I love to use dark brown mulch in our landscaping. Is there anything better than fresh mulch? Well, maybe fresh plants. I picked up these boxwoods to freshen up my old planters. I always like to use Miracle-Gro potting soil when transplanting new plants.

I’ll add in more color once we are further along in the season. It’s not quite planting time here in Michigan yet.

The color of these cute pillows really pops! They have tons of great outdoor rugs and furniture options too.

I grabbed this beachy looking runner for my front door. It reminds me of our stair runner, so it was perfect to welcome guests into our home.

I can’t wait to add more plants and get my window boxes planted too! For now this is looking SO much happier than it did. Be sure to check out all of the great Lowe’s SpringFest sales!
