Summer Home Tour
It was awfully quiet around here last week, but that’s because I was actually finishing projects! Yes, projects that I have been hinting at and sharing instagram sneak peeks of for months are finally complete. I promise, I will be sharing those posts just as soon as it stops raining and I can get some decent photos.
In the meantime, I’ve been busy rearranging things as usual, and I have added a ton of fun new summer accessories from Birch Lane that I wanted to share.
Disclosure: Birch Lane provided me products for this post to review, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
You know I’m always swapping throw pillows out/hoarding them and I’m in love with these new pretty blue ones. For some reason florals intimidate me, I feel like they are hard to pull off without wandering into grandma land, but these are just right.
I love the natural summer vibe this wood bowl adds in here, I’m a sucker for anything that looks like driftwood.
I also swapped out some accessories on my bookshelves and added these gorgeous jars that are the perfect summery shade of blue.
Speaking of shelves and projects that are complete…I finally finished my upstairs bookshelf/sliding ladder extravaganza and I’ll be sharing soon. I’m still playing around with styling the shelves, but one thing that’s for sure staying are these vintage looking pulley bookends.
Another sneak peek of an upcoming post…notice anything different back there in the kitchen?!?
Some of you asked where my wicker chairs that used to be by the fireplace ended up when I got my new chairs. They found a new home over at our dining table.
We have all been hanging out in the sunroom a lot, because it has been raining nonstop as I mentioned, it’s a really cozy place to curl up with a book or play board games with my favorite little people (my world domination at Monopoly Junior is a source of major annoyance to the Mr.)

Especially with this new throw…
Birch Lane was nice enough to send me an extra one in light blue  to give away to one of my readers. Just leave me a comment below to enter and I’ll pick a winner at random.
We entertain more in the summer, which means keeping the wine rack a little better stocked than usual, so I added this cute little wine holder to the top to handle the overflow bottles.
I can’t resist a good striped rug, so I picked up this runner for the kitchen too.

Stay tuned for more summer projects that I’ll be sharing soon, and don’t forget to leave a comment below to enter the Birch Lane throw blanket giveaway!

Lovely home. Very cozy!
OMG I love your house! The soft, earthy tones with the touches of blue are gorgeous! Can’t wait to see what you have to show us next!
Loving the new summer house tour. Am trying to achieve the pretty lake house new england style look over here in England. My house is not to tidy as yours though.. could have something to do with my two crazy little boys that think that mummies styling needs a bit more rough and tumble love. However they do love a good throw to hide under.. xxxx
Loving the summer styling. I’m with you on the pulley bookends–gorgeous! Thanks for the giveaway!
I recently stumbled upon your blog, and I’m hooked! Love your style.

Of course your home looks ready for summer !
Do you do this as a Professional Designer, as you have the knack.
Also I think Anne who lost her home should win the blanket…(tough times)
Imagine losing your home…
Have a wonderful, safe and healthy summer with your family !
