Welcome to our old home fondly known as The Lily Pad Cottage. We built this lovely little lake house in 2010 and just passed it on to new owners. We are just beginning the adventure again, building a brand new lake home in the next bay over. I hope you’ll enjoy this tour and stick around to see how the next house unfolds.

Come on in!
This is our front entry, I love decorating with vintage items and flea market finds, and the Mr. just LOVED helping me with this new planked wall.
From there we head straight to my favorite spot the kitchen. We all tend to hang out in here…
The kitchen is part of our main living space which is pretty much one big room with our kitchen, dining area and living room. We wanted to keep this open so we could all hang out together when I’m cooking, the Mr. is working on his computer or the kids are chasing the dog around the couch.
This is our dining area.
From the calm and peaceful (at least when it’s not dinner time) dining room, straight into the mudroom – which is normally complete chaos.
Off the mudroom is this cute little half bath, see all the details here.
We can also take a swing thru the laundry room, which NEVER looks this clean, I can’t actually see the floor in this room in real life at the moment – so feel special that I spiffied up in here for you all.
Let’s run upstairs and check out the bedrooms.
This is our master bedroom. It’s under construction at the moment but here are a few sneak peaks of my new DIY Faux Headboard. Stay tuned for more changes in here.
My absolute FAVORITE spot in the whole house, is my bathroom. It’s so calm in here, it’s definitely my place to restore my sanity after a long day with the kiddos.
You are now entering the kid land section of the tour, beware of stepping on stray legos! Everything in here was designed around our 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son and they love to play in these spaces.
First up the playroom – which never, ever looks this clean, if you open those big toy closets you will be buried under an avalanche of barbies and matchbox cars…
Our library bookcase complete with ladder is one of my favorite DIY’s.
My daughter’s big girl room, we had so much fun designing this girly room together.
My son’s nursery just got a nautical big boy makeover too which he loves.
And since we are in the midst of potty training I’ll show you our kids bath too!
Our new sunroom was an addition we added in 2014 and quickly became the favorite spot in the house.
Our Backyard – the very best part of our house!
