Lake Cottage Paint & Progress
Time for another update on my parent’s Lake Cottage . We are down to the last 2 weeks or so before they move in and thing have been happening fast and furious. All of the paint is done, the tile is done, and lighting and plumbing fixtures are being installed. Exciting times! Let me share some lake cottage paint & progress photos below to catch you up!
Let’s start on the street side of the cottage. The front door just got a pretty coat of navy paint. It is a color match so I don’t have a brand/name for you unfortunately. They still need to add shutters, window boxes, and the front pillars here. Landscaping will start soon too!
On the lake side the railings are complete, along with the pillars under the deck. Shutters will be added here too.
Through the front door the mudroom locker cabinets were painted the same shade of navy as the exterior.
Lots of fun things happening in the kitchen! The countertop backsplash was installed behind the range space.
The tile went up on the wall by the windows, and all the paint is done as well. Next up hardware and lighting will be installed.
Oh and the beams! Gah so happy with how they turned out. We had them stained to knock down some of the orange tones and we are so happy with the color. Again this was a custom mix of 3 stain colors so I don’t have a brand/color name for you.
On this wall the media cabinet was painted the same color as the kitchen cabinets. A frame tv will hang in the middle with a picture light above.
In the office the view is so pretty framed with the deep navy planked walls.
In the guest bath the tile is grouted, the trim is painted, and we are just waiting on wallpaper install.
In the primary bathroom all of the wood trim was painted Extra White by Sherwin Williams.
On the lower level the carpet was installed this week too!
I think that’s it for the updates this week!

What a beautiful home this is going to be. Love all the blues especially the navy. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
Looking for an area rug or bound carpet for our lake one-room guest space right on the water. Our interior design and decor is spot on with much of what you have done in both our Lake House and this small adu. Neutrals, wood tones, stone. What brand have you gravitated towards. I am thinking a gray for this one room space. May I ask what gray carpet you landed on for your parents house? Other ideas of where to go for carpet. thank you!
