Navy and White Lake House Bedroom

My parent’s are all moved in to their new lake house and it’s time for some room reveals! They started construction last July and it’s so exciting to finally see it all done. I have shared a lot of design plans along the way, but it’s so fun to see it all come together! I thought I would start in my parent’s primary bedroom. My mom wanted their cottage to feel really coastal and classic with a lot of navy and white, and I think we delivered! I’m in love with their navy and white lake house bedroom design!

Oh and say hello to my parent’s dog Yoshi. He is king of the castle here and photobombed me a few times. Also I blame him for the wrinkly quilt :)

Our inspiration for this room started with this beautiful navy ticking wallpaper. I love the subtle pattern and texture it adds to the space. It’s striped without feeling in your face striped. It really has a vintage fabric feeling to it.

Once we had the wallpaper we decided to go all in on a navy bed too. This is actually the same bed frame we have in our bedroom but in navy linen. It is SO pretty, and the perfect navy color.

This room has the same luxury vinyl plank that they used throughout their whole home, so we wanted to cozy it up in with a jute rug. For a little bit of pattern mixing we opted for this flower printed jute rug, which is so charming and cottage-y.

I like to mix and match finishes in bedroom design, so we opted for white nightstands and a wood dresser. We want to get baskets for the openings yet for them to keep their chargers hidden away.

The warmth of the wood dresser really plays well with the wood flooring. I love the classic lines of this dresser too.

Once we had all the basic pieces in the room, it was time to add these gorgeous scalloped sconces and accessories. My mom fell in love with this print and the colors work great in this space.

I added another pop of green with this lamp over on the nightstand.

The tv outlet was placed a little too high on the wall unfortunately so the tv placement is higher than I would like.

To make up for that, I tried to introduce some larger decor items to connect the tv to the dresser visually. Just one of those little things that got overlooked in the building process, and my parent’s didn’t want to mess with changing it.

The navy and white bedroom really allows the view of the lake to shine! They have a little deck right off their bedroom to enjoy their morning coffee.

You can catch a glimpse of one of my favorite rooms in their house, their primary bathroom! I’ll be sharing that next so stay tuned!

  1. So pretty, Kelly! Love the blue/white! You filled in the space between the dresser and TV nicely to make the connection.
Just wanted to say I’ve ordered and framed several prints from Jetty Home. Love them!

  2. This turned out to be gorgeous! About the adirondak wall art…did you have it framed by the company who makes the print? Or did you purchase a frame from somewhere else? I can’t tell if there is a glare on it. I love this and I’m needing a frame without glare. Thanks!

  3. This is absolutely gorgeous! Well thought out. I’m not a blue fan but all the different textures are so interesting! By the way Yoshi is adorable!
